Mrs. Brick began her martial arts training in her late thirties. Her determination and competitive nature helped her reach her goal of earning her black belt shortly before her 40th birthday. This same determination helped her win a silver medal in individual forms and a gold medal in team forms in the 2006 AAU National Championship just eight months after going through major knee surgery to reconstruct her ACL.

Mrs. Brick is a science instructional lead teacher at Five Forks Middle School in Gwinnett County. She recently earned her Masters degree in secondary science education from Mercer University, and plans to begin working towards her doctorate in the Fall of 2007.

She thoroughly enjoys working with children of all ages. “Their energy level, natural curiosity, and enthusiasm are amazing. Teaching is one of the most rewarding careers anyone could ever have.”
