Kenneth Mar began studying Karate with Mr. Minter in 1999. He has since become a State-level medalist, the 2004 Rock Springs Student of the Year, a certified AAU Official, a Head Instructor, and was nicknamed one of the "Men of Steel" for participating all 24 hours during the 2004 Fight-a-thon. In addition to this impressive list of accomplishments, Mr. Mar received his Second Degree Black Belt in March 2007.

Always willing to help, Mr. Mar has assisted at Rock Springs, Bogan, George Pierce, Alpharetta, the Snellville Studio, and Rhodes Jordan. When asked what he likes about teaching, Mr. Mar explained, "I enjoy working with kids and am always amazed at how fast they learn."

Aside from Karate, Mr. Mar's interests include cars, football, hockey, baseball, and autograph collecting.
