Mr. Russell Brown began taking Karate in 1983. He started when he was 5 years old and obtained his First Dan Black Belt when he was 9 years old. He received his Second Dan Black Belt at age 12 and his Third Dan Black Belt at age 19. Mr. Brown has been instructing students for Mr. Minter for over 12 years. He began teaching students when he was 14 years old.

Mr. Brown has been in many Tae Kwon Do and Karate competitions and has earned many trophies and medals.

Mr. Brown graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University. He is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He used his experience in Karate and instructing at Mr. Minter's school to select a career in teaching and education. He is currently a third grade teacher at Grayson Elementary School in Gwinnett County.

Mr. Brown is the recipient of the 2003 Charles Minter Tae Kwon Do "Instructor of the Year" Award.
